What to expect: In this role, you will lead our Device Operations Team, which produces and tests the Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) which sit at the heart of our Quantum Computers. We are looking for someone with a strong technical background, capable of managing highly technical teams but also maintaining strong relationships with external suppliers. The team currently consists of five people and is set to double in size over the next nine months. You will set the technical direction, shape culture and standards, and work closely with colleagues and suppliers to make sure our devices are delivered on time and at the highest quality. The Device Operations team is responsible for a range of areas concerning the manufacturing and test of our devices: Rapid production of devices in prototype quantities using our in-house fabrication facilities. Maintaining relationships with industrial fab partners involved in the production of our devices, owning the delivery of these devices. Developing packaging flows and processes needed for our unique devices, both in-house and with industrial partners. Packaging of the quantum processor devices in prototype quantities. Low-volume manufacturing test of non-quantum parameters of the devices. What you'll be responsible for: As Device Operations Manager, you will provide technical leadership and ensure our device manufacturing processes are set up for success. You’ll balance rapid prototyping with long-term reliability, develop packaging capabilities, and align internal fabrication and test roadmaps. You’ll also take ownership of delivering prototypes and QPU devices, working closely with both in-house and external fabrication partners. Lead and grow the Device Manufacturing Team, setting direction and standards while mentoring junior staff. Define and develop packaging and manufacturing test processes, combining in-house and external capabilities. Own delivery of QPU prototypes and devices from our internal uFab and industrial partners. Alongside technical leadership, you’ll play a key role in team and supplier management. You’ll work with colleagues across engineering and operations to plan future capability, select external partners where needed, and ensure the team has the resources to deliver at pace.  Requirements You’ll need a strong technical background in device packaging and fabrication, with proven experience taking devices from prototype through to early product stage. You should bring both hands-on expertise and the ability to lead teams, with a solid understanding of how processes and stack-ups impact yields, timescales and delivery. Significant packaging experience in microelectronics, photonics, or a related sector. Track record of delivering prototypes and early-stage devices into production. Experience leading technical teams and setting direction in complex projects. Knowledge of supply-chain management across fabrication and packaging stages. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Test Manager to lead our testing efforts for a critical software product under development. You will be instrumental in defining, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive testing strategies and processes throughout the software development lifecycle. This is a key role for a self-starter who thrives in a regulated environment and can expertly navigate software validation. Key Responsibilities Test Strategy & Leadership: Lead and manage the entire testing lifecycle, defining and implementing comprehensive test strategies, plans, and protocols that align with business requirements and regulatory standards. Compliance & Validation: Drive software validation and ensure adherence to relevant medical device regulations, including IEC 62304 for software lifecycle processes, ISO 14971 for risk management, and ISO 13485 for quality management. Oversee the creation and review of all necessary GxP-critical validation documentation. Test Execution & Reporting: Manage the execution of all testing phases and the defect lifecycle. Provide clear and concise reporting to stakeholders on testing progress, risks, and product quality. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and maintain compliance with evolving industry best practices and standards. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, with significant experience in regulated environments. Demonstrated expertise in software lifecycle processes (IEC 62304), risk management (ISO 14971), and quality management systems (ISO 13485). Strong understanding of relevant regulations such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and EU Annex 11. Proven experience in developing and implementing robust test strategies, plans, and cases. Proficiency with test management tools (e.g., Xray), defect tracking systems (Jira), and collaboration tools (Confluence). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team and work with stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail. A self-starter with the ability to manage your own workload effectively within an agile team. Desirable Skills Expertise with GxP and GAMP5 guidelines and their application to software development and validation is useful but not essential. Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSQE). Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Exposure to Electronic QMS (Quality Management System) systems such as Ketryx, Cognidox, or similar would be a distinct advantage. The Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Locum Consultant in Dermatology on a 24 month fixed term contract. This post is offering an opportunity for continued practice in a wide range of dermatology conditions, including clinics for Systemic Diseases, Routine and Cancerous Lesions, Paediatrics and Skin Surgery. Other clinical workload includes inpatient referrals and reviews, providing advice and guidance to primary care and administrative virtual clinics. Attendance at Local MDT and joint plastics clinic is included in the job plan together with support for RSM education sessions on the 3 rd Thursday of the month. The Department sees the full range of Dermatology conditions, with clinics in general skin conditions, systemic diseases (psoriasis etc.), pigmented lesion and fast track cancer clinics and paediatric dermatology. There is also a monthly joint clinic with the plastic surgeons. The department holds a weekly local skin cancer MDT and a bimonthly specialist MDT with colleagues in Oxford. In addition to the practical clinical workload, the post holder will be encouraged to develop local research and audit plans. The Department is supported by a team of Dermatology Specialist Nurses, Skin Cancer Specialist Nurses and a nurse led phototherapy service (UVA, UVB \& PDT), patch testing and full radiology facilities including CT and MRI. The Dermatology service holds busy outpatient clinics from a dedicated dermatology area of the Wren unit on the third floor of the hospital, matching high outpatient demand to activity. We work collaboratively with Plastic Surgery colleagues within the hospital, who are employed by Oxford University Hospital, our Tertiary centre for referrals and opinions. Clinical Duties * Multidisciplinary team working is key component of the working within the Trust and involves regular MDT discussions with colleagues * Providing evidence-based care for patients in a multidisciplinary setting. * Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in your charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care * Development of sub-specialty interests that fit in with departmental needs and the strategic direction of the Trust. * Responsibilities for carrying out teaching, examination and accreditation duties are required, and for contributing to undergraduate and post-graduate and continuing medical education activity. * Provision of cover for Consultant colleagues' periods of leave in accordance with arrangements agreed within Trust policy. * Participation in Quality Improvement and in continuing medical education. * Conducting suitable duties in cases of emergencies and unforeseen circumstances. * Other Clinical responsibilities by mutual agreement Please find attached a full job description and person specification
