In partnership with sales and product teams, model go-to-market strategies for new offerings, oversee architecture, boost client acquisition capabilities, and improve delivery. Implement effective hiring and onboarding strategies. What we are looking for: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience leading engineering teams of 20-60 people. Familiarity with high availability and high-security development processes, supported by strong knowledge of Python, NodeJS, and, ideally, C/C++, Go, or Rust. Experience and demonstrated success with DevOps/systems integration, lightweight development practices, meeting strong SLAs, test-driven design in large scale internet-facing systems. Familiarity with distributed systems design on orchestration platforms like Kubernetes: queue-first architectures, sharding, etc. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrated architecture and business/product need mapping expertise: gathering requirements, problem-solving, and reasoning about the best way forward given needs, timeline, and available resources. In order to develop and expand the capabilities of SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK, we are looking to recruit Performance & Dynamics Engineer to work on major programmes within the Systems Engineering team by building computational models and running simulations. The role is initially for 6-12m, but may extend for an immediate start. It is based in Gloucester, with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis after initial training – minimum of 3 days per week site based. You will be delivering performance and dynamic analysis for the mechanical, hydraulic and occasionally basic electrical systems as they relate to the operation of aircraft, landing gear, shock absorption, extension/retraction and steering. You will be able to understand and derive requirements and how these impact the validation and verification of the product utilising standardised methods and tools. Possessing good knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic system products, you will help guide product development to ensure the performance and dynamics of the integrated system meet the program requirements.
