**Group Operations Controls Engineer** **Location:** 5 days per week London **Reporting to:** Group Director, Critical Environments Are you passionate about operational excellence and controls systems? Join our global team as a **Group Operations Engineer -- Controls** and play a key role in shaping, implementing, and optimising the control systems that power our mission-critical environments. About the Role As Group Operations Engineer, you'll be responsible for defining, managing, and improving operational processes across our international portfolio. You will ensure best-in-class performance of our Building Management Systems (BMS), Facilities Management Systems (FMS), Power Management Systems (PMS), and SCADA platforms. Your expertise will help deliver maximum uptime, operational safety, and continuous improvement across our data centre and critical environments. Key Responsibilities · **Operational Excellence:** Oversee and improve global control system processes and standards. · **Technical Leadership:** Provide expert guidance and technical support to in-country operational teams. · **Incident Management:** Lead root cause analysis and technical investigations to prevent recurrence. · **Policy Development:** Create and maintain control systems engineering policies and procedures. · **Energy Optimisation:** Identify and implement energy efficiency initiatives. · **Governance \& Compliance:** Ensure compliance with safety and operational regulations. · **People Development:** Mentor and support local engineering teams to drive skills development and knowledge sharing. What You'll Deliver · High availability and reliability of control systems. · Safe, compliant, and efficient operational processes. · A culture of continuous learning and improvement. · Effective incident response and reporting. · Engineering policies, processes, and training initiatives. What We're Looking For **Essential Skills \& Experience** · Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls). · Experience managing and maintaining critical control systems. · Strong hands-on experience with electrical \& mechanical infrastructure. · Proven ability to mentor and train operational teams. **Desirable** · Membership in a professional controls engineering body. · Experience in data centres, power generation, or other high-availability environments. **Personal Attributes** · Excellent communication skills -- clear, concise, and collaborative. · Strong leadership and influencing skills. · Passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement. · Resilient, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset. **Why join?** You'll be part of a global leader in data centre infrastructure, working on large-scale, high-availability sites.
