What you will be doing… You’ll be working in one of our households with a warm, friendly team as a Team Senior Carer (Nights). Working in Belong Atherton you can make a real impact to the lives of older people; giving them the support to continue to live independently by providing excellent personal centred care. You will be experienced in caring for the older generation, especially in a dementia setting. This role is ideal for someone with the experience of working in a very small team across a wider area. You will aim to maintain high standards of care and service towards customers, relatives, visitors and other members of staff. You will be providing a range of personal and practical care to our residents. Duties and Responsibilities: Demonstrate compassion, empathy and a person-centred approach to caring for older people. Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised Able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the household. Provide assistance, personal care, activities and companionship to residents Be alert to residents’ needs, health and wellbeing Respect the residents’ dignity and privacy Work with residents and their families to deliver tailored care to each individual Assist with mealtimes and safe moving Maintain accurate records for each resident Skills and Experience: Excellent communication and written skills. Committed to providing a high standard of care, promoting dignity and respect. Previous experience working within an elderly care setting. Team player but able to work on your own initiative. Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the Home. Care Certificate or NVQ in Adult Social Care is desirable.
