About the Role We are seeking an exceptional and visionary Head Teacher to lead the launch and development of a brand-new SEN school in Wigan for up to 60 pupils. This is a unique opportunity to shape the ethos, culture, and strategic direction of a school from the ground up. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the pre-opening phase, including recruitment, curriculum design, policy development, and building strong relationships with the local community and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Lead the strategic planning and operational setup of the new SEN school. - Develop and implement a high-quality, inclusive curriculum tailored to a diverse range of special educational needs. - Recruit, inspire, and manage a dedicated team of teaching and support staff. - Establish a safe, nurturing, and aspirational learning environment. - Ensure compliance with all statutory and safeguarding requirements. - Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, local authorities, and external agencies. - Monitor and evaluate school performance, driving continuous improvement.
