About the Role: You will be joining a busy and modern precision engineering environment, working with sliding head CNC lathes (Citizen and Star machines). Location: Chard area Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum (DOE) Hours: Choice of 5-day week (39 hrs) or 4-day week (39 hrs) Contract: Full Time & Permanent Key Responsibilities: Programming, setting, and operating CNC sliding head lathes Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances Conducting first-off inspections to maintain high-quality standards Maintaining high levels of productivity and precision Continuously improving skills in a supportive and dynamic team environment Requirements Minimum of 3 years' experience in CNC sliding head turning Fully competent in programming FANUC control systems Ability to work independently and carry out first-off inspections Quick learner with excellent skills retention Self-motivated, dependable, and a strong team player Benefits Full-time, permanent contract Choice of working a 4-day or 5-day week (39 hours) Up to £36,000 per annum depending on experience Company pension scheme Sick pay scheme Long service holiday rewards 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Overtime paid at time and a half Modern, air-conditioned factory with excellent working conditions Exemplary Health & Safety systems Access to over 50 CNC machine tools and a wide range of control systems, supporting continuous skill development At CNC Recruitment, we strongly believe in investing in our people.
