You will work closely with parents, staff, and management to ensure high standards of care and early education. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead, support, and mentor a team of nursery practitioners within the designated room. * Create and implement age-appropriate activities and learning plans for the children in your care, ensuring that they meet their developmental milestones. * Supervise the children in your care, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and happiness at all times. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents, providing them with updates on their child's development and achievements. * Undertake key worker responsibilities for a small group of children, conducting regular observations and assessments of their progress. * Ensure that the nursery room is always safe, clean, and organized, maintaining high standards of hygiene and health and safety. * Lead by example in promoting positive behavior and supporting the development of good social and emotional skills in children. * Support the planning and preparation of resources and activities that enhance children's learning. * Collaborate with other team members and management to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and the delivery of high-quality early years education. * Assist with staff training and development, helping to maintain a positive and professional team environment. **Skills and Qualifications Required:** * Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent). * Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting - at least 6 months as a Room Leader - with a proven track record in a leadership or supervisory role. * A solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and the ability to implement it effectively. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both children and adults. * Strong organizational and time-management skills. * A passion for working with young children and supporting their development. * Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection policies. **Benefits:** * Competitive salary of between £30,000-£35,000 per year. * Monday to Friday work schedule (no weekends). * Opportunities for professional development and career progression. * A supportive and friendly work environment.
