Software Engineer II/Sr Software Engineer (UK)
JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer II/Senior Software Engineer to join our technology team at Iambic Therapeutics. You will be a key player in applying advanced software engineering skills to build technologies that support our drug discovery efforts. Your key responsibilities include development of training data workflows for the training of machine-learning (ML) models and scalable deployment of machine-learning technologies, and creation, testing and maintenance of software systems. This role is remote, with preference for candidates on the US East Coast or in the UK. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Work in a cross-functional team that spans the full domain of drug discovery. * Provide software development support to the ML model life cycle, working in the design and development of: * Efficient and maintainable data pipelines * Benchmarking systems of models * Deployments to AWS and use of Kubernetes (in collaboration with our cloud engineers) * Collaborate on the creation, testing and maintenance of software systems * Code review for pull requests in adjoining areas * Maintenance of and mentorship in software best practices, including version control, testing and documentation * Collaboration with ML scientists and others in the company to understand requirements for deployed models * Clear oral communication of work in meetings and company demos, at a level suited to the audience QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience. * Technical acumen to develop and maintain ML systems used by the ML team. * Experience with ML systems that are cloud-based and frequently process TBs of data * Strong python software skills * Working knowledge of concepts in Chemistry and Biology * Can communicate with ML engineers * Demonstrates competence and rigor in software development. * Has experience working with scientific computing/lab environments (e.g. has used or administered SLURM) * Conversant with cloud computing; able to provide requirements to DevOps engineers ABOUT IAMBIC THERAPEUTICS Iambic is a clinical-stage life-science and technology company developing novel medicines using its AI-driven discovery and development platform.
