Vehicle Technician

As a Porsche vehicle Technician, you will maintain, repair, and service our customer’s vehicles to the highest standard. Communicating effectively with the Service Team, you will seek to diagnose potential problems, fix mechanical and/or electrical issues or carry out routine service work. All the while ensuring the highest level of accurate record keeping and ensuring vehicles are fixed first time, and exceeding customers’ expectations. Responsibilities: Identifying problems with vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment Carrying out repairs and service work across the whole Porsche vehicle range Performing road tests to ensure repairs were successful and vehicles are functioning properly. Documenting services performed, parts used, and any issues found during inspections. Communicating with the Service Team or customers about vehicle issues and repair options. Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and Porsche’s exemplary customer service level expectations Keeping up with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: A full vehicle (Category B) driver’s license, ideally for a for a minimum of two years Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence or equivalent qualification Experience of working within a franchised automotive dealership Excellent mechanical and technical skills to be able to diagnose and repair faults on a wide range of vehicles Ability to work quickly, diligently and efficiently Desirable Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 Diploma in Auto-Electrical and Mobile Electrical Operations Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement Experience of working within a prestige franchised automotive dealership Porsche Retail Group are committed to promoting a culture that champions diversity and equal opportunities. We are recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics and container haulage company for a skilled Traffic / Transport Planner to join their dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient planning, coordination, and compliance of transport operations while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Key Responsibilities Plan and allocate resources efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and collections. Assign drivers to routes while ensuring compliance with working hours, legal requirements, and operational efficiency. Communicate with port expeditors/supervisors to ensure jobs are being dispatched correctly. Arrange parking and night-out procedures, maintain driver notes, and liaise with HR on driver-related issues. Work closely with the CS team to resolve day-to-day issues. Liaise with Fleet Management for truck and trailer servicing. Ensure smooth operational handover and system maintenance at the end of the working week. Requirements Prior experience in container haulage is essential. Understanding of VBS systems for ports, TOPS, Destin8, and other transport management tools. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and transport planning software. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve issues quickly, and work under pressure. Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and on-call availability when required. As a Service Quality Specialist (SQS)/Warranty Administrator, you will serve as a key liaison between the Porsche Centre, customers and the manufacturer. You will be vital to the warranty claims process by ensuring correct time recording and reducing claim error rates. Preparing, submitting and tracking warranty claims, ensuring timely reimbursement and maintaining detailed records. You will also technically support a team of vehicle technicians and provide dynamic quality control, including final vehicle testing. You will manage the progression of the repair of customers vehicles, whilst ensuring adherence to Porsche’s service process and warranty standards. The SQS, drives and improves the overall productivity of the workshop, whilst increasing customer satisfaction though vehicles being fixed first time. Responsibilities Administer warranty and goodwill repairs, including claims, documentation, and campaign communication Verify warranty claim accuracy, completeness and compliance with manufacturer guidelines Provide technical support and guidance to technicians, managing repair progression, systems, and processes Stay up to date with manufacturer policies, bulletins and procedures Develop workshop processes aligned with Porsche Service and warranty standards Control workshop repair quality through inspections, tests, and ensuring manufacturer standards Manage Porsche Request Management System for technician support and communication.
