**Your role**
* Our administrative teams are the core of our National Services delivering great customer service to enable Justice. At the Special Educational Needs Tribunals (SEND), we have multiple admin teams involved in processing appeals made against Local Authority decisions for children and young persons between the ages of 0 -- 25.
* You'll register new appeals onto our tribunals database, issue tribunal orders, list appeals or arrange Judicial office holders to hear appeals. You'll spend at least 1 day a week answering telephone calls from the public to help them with the process of appealing or responding to the tribunal.
* You may also be asked to clerk a hearing in the Darlington Court Centre and/or provide clerking assistance on our video hearing platform. This involves assisting customers and Judiciary in preparing for a hearing and commencing a hearing promptly.
* You will have the confidence to liaise with Judiciary, legal representatives, parents and Local Authorities, and be able to adapt your verbal and written communication style in an empathetic and patient manner.

* With a friendly and approachable manner, you'll have good written and verbal communication skills with a desire to deliver proactive and effective support to customers.

These operational roles are customer facing. Non-contractual hybrid working may be available. **Job Description**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planner to join our busy and expanding, Natural Resources and New Energies team, who are undertaking a range of Controls \& Performance duties on several high-profile Projects/Programmes. Additionally, this role will provide the opportunity to innovate, collaborate and learn from our experienced and award-winning Planning \& Scheduling community and wider extensive Controls and Performance Network.
**Qualifications**
*Working alongside project delivery teams as part of a wider planning \& scheduling team or independently with reach back support to experienced planning professionals, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:*
* Tailoring planning approaches to meet the client's needs in line with best practice.
* Leading members of the planning team to develop and maintain plans on highly complex, high-risk projects or programmes.
* Working with the project team to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan.
* Evaluating project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
* Breakdown of the critical path and constraints to understand the effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-arounds.
* Lead analysis to understand alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
* Lead the development of status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
* Training and coaching clients and less experienced team members on planning processes and practices.
* Challenging schedule information to ensure it is realistic, robust and stands up to scrutiny.
* Understanding and be able to explain the EVM reported periodically.

* Ability to interact with Management / Leadership members when delivering updates on planning progress within a complex project/programme environment.
* Ability to act as subject matter expert, delivering to planning processes, on complex projects/programmes along with all associated processes \& reports.
* Guide the team on appropriate use of systems and tools in relation to Planning \& Scheduling.
* Works to make positive change happen by embracing challenges and opportunities for our clients.
A UK driving license or the ability to travel to client sites across the region, as required, is essential.

**Qualifications and experience**
* Experience in using a standard scheduling tool (Primavera P6, MS Project etc) is essential (must be willing to attend Primavera P6 training as required).
* Practical application of Earned Value Management (EVM) is desirable.
* Having attended formal training in Tilos Time location software is desirable.
* Demonstratable experience of Cemar Contract Management tool or equivalent is desirable.
* Familiarity with NEC contracts is desirable.

**Operations Coordinator**
Map Group (UK) Ltd are looking for a full-time permanent Operations Coordinator based at their Teesside site in Stockton. The purpose of this role is to provide a range of administrative assistance to a department servicing our operational colleagues, and to contribute to the achievement of departmental and business-wide objectives. They will also assist with the management of daily business activities and administrative tasks whilst supporting and coordinating fibre engineers and other employees across the country. They will be part of a busy team that supports all general office duties.
Suitable candidates must have good communication and customer service skills, be able to work as part of a team, self-motivated, organised and reliable. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
As well as strong computer skills other key attributes will include attention to detail, coordination skills, the ability to prioritise workload and to work to strict deadlines, as well as excellent customer service skills.
