What will you be doing as our new Electrical Engineer? As an Electrical Engineer within our diverse and inclusive Engineering team, you'll provide Electrical Engineering technical input to projects in the Anglian Water region. Key responsibilities: * Design and specify LV electrical installations and distribution systems particular specifications schedules, data sheets and drawings. * Design and specify LV Assemblies particular specifications schedules, data sheets and drawings (i.e. MCC, LV Switchboards and Control Panels) * Review LV electrical designs produced by framework contractors (i.e. electrical schematics, cable calculations and termination diagrams) * Liaise with others on technical issues, the construction team, operations, suppliers, and utility companies. * Specify and select instrumentation based on the process design. A little bit about your skills, experience, and behaviours... Have demonstrable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer. With a strong Electrical Engineering background and a keenness to work in a multi disciplined team, working together to solve complex problems. As site visits will be required, you will need a full UK driving licence. We are looking to appoint an exceptional Senior Civil Engineer to work across an array of wastewater infrastructure projects within our experienced team in Leicester, Manchester or London. Working as an integral part of the team, you will play a key part in delivering wastewater infrastructure projects, including flood alleviation, network pumping stations, CSO storage and upgrades. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will produce technical designs, specifications and reports for a large variety of projects in terms of size, type, and complexity, both single discipline and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will mentor and manage your design sub-team (project programming and planning and resources). You will be able to demonstrate your skills, and knowledge of the industry, and be passionate about driving your career in engineering forward. **Our ideal Senior Water Civil Engineer must have:** * A degree or equivalent in civil engineering or a related subject, working towards a professional qualification * Experience managing wastewater infrastructure schemes * Good knowledge of industry design software packages Excellent communication skills and a team player with a confident, positive and enthusiastic attitude * A high level broad-based technical appreciation * Very good report writing and presentation skills at project level * Good verbal communication -- able to discuss work, coach and supervise employees and communicate effectively with clients **It would be nice for you to have:** * CEng with post chartered relevant experience or IEng with post incorporated relevant experience working in wastewater * Experience in a variety of different forms of contract * Confident liaising with new and existing clients and an ability to build a good rapport with other parts of our inter-disciplinary practice, and with external design teams * Robust problem solving skills, taking accountability for assigned work * Previous experience writing and presenting reports along with client interaction and work winning * The ability to lead a sub-team, focused on delivery of high quality design output. ### **About Us** Our nationwide multidisciplinary team of 780+ employees, work collaboratively to deliver outstanding places and spaces that create lasting value for local communities.
