Position: Power Electronics Process Quality Engineer Location: Wolverhampton, UK (Onsite) Duration: Long Term B2B Contract Job Description: 3 TO 8 YEARS Position: Power Electronics Process Quality Engineer Location: Wolverhampton, UK (Onsite) Duration: Long Term B2B Contract Job Description: 3 TO 8 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN IN PROCESS QUALITY/LINE QUALITY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for in-depth understanding of BMS functionalities, including cell voltage monitoring/balancing, current measurement/management, temperature monitoring/control, and communication protocols (CAN bus, etc.). • Responsible for verification of documents like DFMEA, PFD, PFMEA, Control plan, check sheet, SOP and SPC study including test plans, reports and system specifications. • Working knowledge about Battery Assembly Process and its integration. • Responsible for In process audit of BEM assembly. • Responsible for BMS testing and final go for next assembly process for Battery Pack. • Responsible for Line process Quality Audit reports and countermeasures for each defects. • Responsible for defects No go for next process from BEM to Pack level. ### **About The Role** **Job Summary:** To carry out on-site/off-site maintenance, inspections, repairs, installations, retrofits and modification of BRUSH's range of Transformer, Tapchanger and Switchgear products. **Key Responsibilities:** * Maintenance, repair, installation and retrofit of the companies range of Transformer, Tapchanger and Switchgear products, both on site and in our Loughborough and Blackwood factories. * Supervise the off-loading and maneuvering into position of large transformers (up to approximately 120 tonnes) and related equipment onto prepared foundations. * Strip down, rebuild Transformers, Switchgear, Tapchanger's/related equipment, fault find, repair, overhaul both on-site and in-works as required. * Interpret specifications and technical requirements; prepare method statements and prepare detailed and concise reports for submission to customers. * Undergo training if necessary, to ensure that current and future H\&S requirements are met at all times. * Carry out an on-site risk assessment on every assignment and record details thereof on the special form provided. * Provide written reports on completion of each assignment. * Accurately record time, attendance and retain VAT receipts for submission with all expense claims. * All employees have a legal duty to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work and to observe and follow the relevant systems, rules and methods of working * Ensure all data protection activities of personal and special category data; pertaining to current employees, customers, and all other external stakeholders, are done so in line with the company's data Protection Policy. * The job description is not to be regarded as exclusive or exhaustive and you may be required to undertake various duties as may reasonably be required of you by the Company **Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience \& Skills:** **Qualifications:** * Experience in dealing with customers effectively ONC (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering * **Knowledge:** * Qualified through a recognised Craft apprenticeship in fitting and assembly operations on Tapchanger's or transformers * Computer literate with the ability to maintain- accurate records * Ability to work with all recognised IT systems including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and internet/intranet applications **Experience:** * A minimum of four year's experience required in mechanical/electrical service role. * Experience in representing a company at customers' sites and operating remotely on own initiative whilst observing the requirements set down in the company's code of Conduct for service/Commissioning Engineers. * Able to work with company's rules and guidance notes on health and safety, including operation of safe systems of work in relation to high voltage and medium voltage electrical systems and work in a heavy industrial environment. ### **About The Company** BRUSH Transformers provide agile and adaptive engineering solutions and products, including consultancy services, design, and project management as well as award-winning product technology, to a wide range of projects.
