**Job Title:** Kitchen Cook **Location:** Harlow Greyhound stadium **Starting Salary:** £12.50 - £13.00 ph. depending on experience **Hours:** 4 hours per week **Contract:**Part-time Permanent Harlow Greyhound stadium is a local independent family run business who have been racing for over 25 years. The current owners took over in the early 2000's and the stadium has gone from strength to strength, now hosting 6 meetings a week. The stadium is currently going through a makeover and in the new year they are looking to expand their team to join them on this new and exciting journey. **Job description** * Are you a friendly and an outgoing person that loves to work in a busy and lively environment? * Do you have excellent customer service skills and work well in a team? * Do you love having your weekends to yourself? **If the answers are YES, we want to hear from you** Your duties during your shift will include but not limited to; * Prepare menu items whilst maintaining portion control and minimising wastage. * Ensure customer orders are fulfilled * Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards at all times. * Clean and maintain all equipment within the kitchen area. * Report any hazards, unsafe working conditions or equipment which requires repair or maintenance to a supervisor. * Observe safety precautions when using them. **Knowledge and Experience** * Minimum 1 year of relevant experience * Food Hygiene (not essential) * Oral proficiency in English language **Competencies** * Ability to work effectively and contribute to a team * Self-motivated * Reliable * Good communication skills **Shifts** Weekly rota: * Friday - 17:00 till 21:00 (depending on events) **Due to the location, the successful candidate must live within walking/cycling distance or have access to a reliable car** \*Additional shifts maybe available during busy periods\* Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour Expected hours: 4 per week Benefits: * Free parking * On-site parking Ability to commute/relocate: * Harlow: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person
