These are bringing substantial benefits.\n\nBut many people are concerned about future developments of the technology. How can society absorb the ever-increasing development of AI? What issues do AI developments raise that we should be concerned about? What can be done to mitigate these concerns?\n\nWe’ll start by identifying some specific concerns of interest to attendees, then think about what, if anything can be done to allay those concerns?\n\nConcerns we might discuss include, but are not limited to:\n\n* How can we manage changes in employment opportunities?\n* How should copyright be protected?\n* What steps need to be taken to ensure deployed systems do not suffer from biased training data?\n* Who is responsible when AI makes mistakes?\n* Will important human skills be lost, (for example, the ability to summarise information)?
