**Position:** Senior Data Engineer **Purpose of the Position:** * We need a Senior Data Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions leveraging Snowflake and DBT. * The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data engineering. * This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather * requirements, design solutions, and deliver impactful BI solutions to stakeholders across the organization. **Location:** London **Type of Employement:** Full-Time **Key Result Areas and Activities:** 1. Snowflake Development: * Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data models and solutions for various * business use cases. * Build and maintain Snowflake data pipelines, transformations, and integrations using * best practices. * Develop and implement performance tuning strategies for Snowflake queries. 2. Data Engineering: * Create, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT processes within Snowflake and for integration tools * Develop data pipelines to integrate structured and unstructured data from various sources. * Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across all systems 3. Collaboration: * Work closely with source teams, integration and analytics to understand requirements and provide solutions. * Lead technical discussions and architectural decisions related to Snowflake and data engineering projects. 4. Documentation and Knowledge Management: * Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including data dictionaries, user guides, and technical documentation for Power BI solutions. 5. Continuous Learning: * Stay updated with industry trends and advancements and related technologies to drive innovation and efficiency. **Essential Skills** * 7+ years in data engineering with hands-on experience in data modelling, ETL/ELT design, and * implementation. * 3+ years of experience in Snowflake, including hands-on experience with building complex logics using * Snowflake native features like Stored Procedures, Functions, Snowsql, and others. * 1+ year in DBT * Strong proficiency in Snowflake and DBT * Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes. * Experience in SQL Server or other relational databases. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. **Desirable Skills:** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Snowflake certifications is preferred * Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI is a plus. * Pharma domain knowledge **Qualifications:** * Bachelor?s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (master?s degree is a plus). **Qualities:** * Able to work in a self-organized and cross-functional team. * Able to iterate based on new information, peer reviews, and feedback. * Proficiency in English (read/write/speak) and communication over email. * Excellent analytical, presentation, reporting, documentation, and interactive skills. * Ability to adapt to changes. * Problem-solving abilities to resolve vendor issues, stakeholder concerns, and operational challenges. **Location** United Kingdom **Years Of Exp** 8 to 10 years
