Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in providing compassionate care to individuals in need. The role involves assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to residents in a care home.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medication management.
- Deliver specialised care for individuals with dementia, including behavioural management techniques.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their overall mental well-being.
- Assist with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
-Shifts will be on a rolling rota and include working every other weekend.
Experience:
-Hold a UK Full UK Driving License
-Supporting people with Mental Health Illnesses
- Previous experience in a care-related role is essential as the job includes lone working.
- Knowledge of patient care practices and procedures.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Understanding of medication administration protocols and dementia care techniques.
