We are looking to hire an Electronics Engineer - Test to join an established ASIC design group working on developing and running measurement solutions to evaluate a range of cryogenic-compatible ASICs and micromachined components. We may be the right place for you, so get in touch!     What You’ll Accomplish:  Lead the testing of integrated circuits (ICs) and micromachined assemblies as a primary duty. Design, build and test electronics solution using your skills of analogue and digital circuit design together with industry standard CAD packages and test equipment.  Create reports detailing the performance of ASICs at nominal and cryogenic temperatures.  Write the documentation of your electronics test circuits. Develop your experience in a broad range of electronics engineering subject areas.  Maintain the multidisciplinary collaboration with mechanical engineers, software engineers, physicists, working towards a common goal.  Play a key role in building test systems for quantum computers.  Engage with project planning activities, risk management and scheduling requirements.   Help with fast turn-around proof of concepts and feasibility discussions.  Work closely with the IC design team to implement best practices and improve product documentation.  Work with silicon at various stages of assembly and work with suppliers to define and produce packaging for chip-specific evaluation.  Work with the design team to help identify root causes of functional or performance deviations Requirements The 3 Most Critical Attributes We’ll Use to Compare Candidates:  Excellent knowledge of electronics circuit / IC’s theory and good EM field theory, including noise analysis and physical device knowledge from a testing point of view.  PCB schematic and layout using CAD tools, good manufacturing process knowledge and excellent verification/debug skills using electronics test equipment.   Strong knowledge within the IC domain and integration within other electronics assemblies.  Must-have Skills: Minimum 8 years’ experience in high performance Electronics Design including IC, Digital, Analog and Embedded.   Experience of PCB Design using ECAD (e.g., Altium, or similar).  Use and automation of spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes and VNA for taking precision measurements Experience of FPGAs and embedded software engineering for real time systems.   Experience of working with suppliers and contractors.  Demonstrate a strong discipline for thorough documentation.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
