**Job Purpose** We seek a skilled and enthusiastic Service Engineer \& Installer of UPVC Windows and Doors to join our team. This is a varied and rewarding role that will see you playing a key part in both the installation of new UPVC windows and doors and the servicing and repair of existing installations. You'll be the face of our company for many of our customers, ensuring their satisfaction through your technical expertise and professional attitude. **Scope and Range** This multifaceted role encompasses the full lifecycle of our UPVC window and door services, from initial installation to ongoing maintenance and repair. As a Service Engineer \& Installer, you will be responsible for: **End-to-End Installation Projects:** Taking ownership of installation projects from initial preparation and fitting to final finishing and customer handover. This includes working with various UPVC products, ensuring precise measurements and adherence to quality standards. * **Proactive and Reactive Service and maintenance: We address scheduled maintenance tasks and urgent repair requests, diagnose issues efficiently, and implement** effective solutions to ensure the continued optimal performance of our installations. * **Direct Customer Engagement:** Serving as a key point of contact for our customers on-site, providing clear communication, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive and professional experience that reflects our company values. * **Contributing to Continuous Improvement:** Providing feedback on installation processes, identifying potential improvements, and staying updated on new products and techniques to enhance our service delivery. * **Maintaining Operational Efficiency:** Ensure your van is well-maintained and stocked with necessary tools and materials and that all administrative tasks, such as job sheets and parts requests, are completed accurately and promptly. **Main Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities** **Service \& Repair:** * Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to existing UPVC windows and doors, including issues with locks, hinges, handles, seals, and mechanisms. * Perform adjustments and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of installations. * Provide effective solutions to customer issues, aiming for first-time fixes where possible. * Accurately report on work carried out, parts used, and any further recommendations. * **Installation:** * Accurately and efficiently install a range of UPVC windows, doors, and related products according to manufacturer guidelines and company standards. * Carry out necessary preparatory work, including measuring, levelling, and ensuring the correct fitting of frames. * Seal and finish installations to a high standard, including trimming and making good any surrounding areas. * **Customer Interaction:** * Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, explaining the work and answering questions. * Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent workmanship and a positive attitude. * Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at customer properties.
