




Job Description: Coffee Lounge 44 is an exciting new coffee lounge opening soon, transforming a former pub into a stylish and welcoming community space. As part of this fresh venture, we are looking for a passionate and creative Chef to join our founding team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the development of our breakfast and lunch offerings. The ideal candidate will have the freedom to design a menu that reflects their creativity and culinary flair. Key Responsibilities: * Create and develop a fresh, appealing breakfast and lunch menu * Prepare and present dishes to a high standard * Maintain excellent hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards in the kitchen * Manage kitchen stock, including ordering and rotation of ingredients * Work collaboratively with the wider team to support smooth day-to-day operations * Ensure allergen management and dietary requirements are properly handled * Help establish and build a positive kitchen culture and kitchen team of staff Essential Criteria: * Valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to complete) * Allergen awareness training (or willingness to complete) * Passion for food and strong culinary skills * Ability to work independently and take initiative * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail * Willingness to obtain a basic DBS check Desirable Criteria: * Previous experience as a chef or cook in a café, bistro, or similar setting * Menu development experience * Understanding of dietary trends and customer preferences * Knowledge of kitchen health and safety protocols * Ability to adapt in a new and evolving work environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: £26,707.09-£43,879.73 per year Additional pay: * Bonus scheme * Loyalty bonus * Performance bonus * Tips Benefits: * Discounted or free food * Employee discount * Free parking * On-site parking * Sick pay Schedule: * Day shift * Every weekend * Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: * Worcester WR7 4QL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Application question(s): * List 3 star dishes you would initially incorporate to the menu.
