The post holder will be working in an integrated multi professional inpatient team providing quality care for a group of patients, specialising in rehabilitation and sub-acute care from patients stepping down from acute hospitals and step up patients from the community in a physical health inpatient unit. As the focus of the centres is rehabilitation you will be working in an integrated multi-disciplinary team that includes senior nurses, staff nurses, HCAs, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, medical staff, discharge coordinator and wider external colleagues. As a Physiotherapist you'll assess the healthcare needs of patients and develop treatment plans reflecting their needs work closely with patients and MDT to set goals to progress patients towards discharge assist the senior therapy staff in managing a cohort of patients and developing individualised therapeutic programmes supervise and delegate to support staff be open to new ways of working in the centre and developing strong links with other services and the wider community you'll need to be well organised, confident and able to be adaptable and resourceful to deliver high quality patient care. leadership and management skills are also important, as with all healthcare professional roles, communication skills, problem-solving and good clinical judgement are crucial. be an integral part of the team but be able to work flexibly with minimum supervision, with the ability to prioritise work based on the patient need. must have IT skills NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. We are recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist who is passionate about enabling men with mental health problems to develop life skills and prepare for release while on remand or serving a sentence. The role is in our multi-disciplinary team at HMP Bullingdon , a category B prison which operates as a local remand, and sentenced male establishment. The prison has an operational capacity of 1100 and takes prisoners predominantly from Courts in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. We are looking for an OT with a flair for working creatively to assess and treat mental health problems within the prison environment. You'll undertake the role of Care Co-ordinator for an identified number of individuals on the caseload, some of whom may be on CPA with multiple and complex needs. You'll oversee the provision of a range of graded therapeutic interventions in areas of self-maintenance, productivity and leisure within the prison environment. You'll also be key in evaluating our OT service within the prison and leading on specialist interventions, working with both internal and external partners including healthcare providers, social care providers and probation services. Consultant Psychiatrist - Male Adult Inpatients , based at St Mary's Hospital in Kettering, Northamptonshire Avocet ward is a 16 bedded male only inpatient ward and this post will require assessment and management of a wide range of psychiatric presentations. RC/AC status and section 12 required for this role. We are offering a £40,000 welcome bonus to the successful candidate, paid over the course of your first two years in post. The ward takes direct new admissions of a range of presentations. You will be supported in this role by range of junior doctors ( FY2 and GPVTS) and it is expected you will have regular dialogue with the two consultant psychiatrists on other two adult inpatient wards onsite. The Welland centre is a modern stand alone 4 ward psychiatric inpatient unit and is staffed by a MDT including nursing staff, occupational therapists and psychologists.
