Clinical and Professional Responsibilities
1.1 To provide a high standard of ultrasound practice and the delivery of an evidence-based service, geared towards patient care. This is in accordance with the CSVS Code of Professional Conduct, CSVS Guidelines and the Trusts' Policies and Procedures.
1.2 To demonstrate a high standard of ultrasound skills and interpret diagnostic ultrasound information.
1.3 To issue independent reports and discuss with the Manager / Lead Practitioner on further imaging where appropriate to ensure the effective management of patients.
1.4 To exercise analytical and judgmental skills when communicating highly complex information and advice to patients, colleagues and medical staff.
1.5 To prepare the patient for the diagnostic ultrasound examination and fulfil the requirements of correct patient identification, confidentiality and data protection.
1.6 Prepare the environment and equipment for diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
1.7 Develop and maintain effective communication with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective patient management.

You'll provide assessment and evidence-based treatment interventions to a wide range of older adults across North and West Oxfordshire. Working in the towns of Witney and Banbury, we focus on the recovery of patients through a multidisciplinary (MDT) approach, with expertise from doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, support workers and psychological therapies staff alongside regular clinical team meetings. **The responsibilities of the role include:**
Work as an autonomous practitioner in the multi-disciplinary team
undertaking generic Mental Health and specialist Occupational Therapy assessments in collaboration with the service user and their families/carers and presenting back to the wider MDT.
Work in partnership with service users and their families/carers to ensure the development of a treatment plan to facilitate their safety, promote their well-being and support their independence and inclusion in the community.
Deliver evidence-based interventions following NICE guidelines to promote recovery and relapse prevention in a variety of settings.
Manage a complex caseload of patient, with new patient assessments, risk assessment, care planning, reviews and discharges.
Carry out shifts on the Duty Desk fielding incoming calls, triaging new referrals and assessing new patients.
You will be supported by an experienced leadership team from across the professions who facilitate forums for Nursing and Occupational Therapists and hold your development as a priority. We offer regular supervision and you will be encouraged and supported to undertake any training relevant to your professional development.

Senior Occupational Therapist - HMP Bullingdon
We are recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist who is passionate about enabling men with mental health problems to develop life skills and prepare for release while on remand or serving a sentence.
The role is in our multi-disciplinary team at HMP Bullingdon , a category B prison which operates as a local remand, and sentenced male establishment. The prison has an operational capacity of 1100 and takes prisoners predominantly from Courts in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.
We are looking for an OT with a flair for working creatively to assess and treat mental health problems within the prison environment. You'll undertake the role of Care Co-ordinator for an identified number of individuals on the caseload, some of whom may be on CPA with multiple and complex needs.
You'll oversee the provision of a range of graded therapeutic interventions in areas of self-maintenance, productivity and leisure within the prison environment. You'll also be key in evaluating our OT service within the prison and leading on specialist interventions, working with both internal and external partners including healthcare providers, social care providers and probation services.

Manage a varied and, at times, complex case load
Undertake the role of Care Co-ordinator for an identified number of individuals on the caseload, some of whom may be on CPA with multiple and complex needs
Provide occupational therapy that is evidence-based and follows client-centred principles. This will include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating the outcome of interventions and documenting all stages of the process
Provide leadership for junior/non-registered staff as appropriate to the post, through supervision and appraisal, delegating responsibilities as appropriate
Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy service within the prison, holding responsibility and taking a leading role for defined projects or specialist interventions
Participate effectively as a full member of the multi-disciplinary team
Contribute to the maintenance and development of the trust-wide Occupational Therapy service and local multi-disciplinary team.
Actively participate in the education of occupational therapy students
Pro-actively engaging in teaching/presentations of specialist skills both within the Trust and for continuing professional development events/activities

Are you a psychology graduate who would like to work with children with behavioural and mental health needs? We currently have a large number of schools that are looking for confident and proactive graduates with a good understanding of child mental health to work as teaching assistants.
As a specialist teaching assistant you will be working with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis during the school day. Pupils will range in age from 5 -- 11 years old and will have identified behaviour, SEMH, SEN including ASD needs that require support on a full-time basis. You will be working with pupils in the classroom, in specialist mentoring sessions and in during some break times. Some pupils will display more challenging behaviour and the school will be able to train you in suitable interventions and approaches. As part of the child's support team, you will work closely with the schools SENCO and senior management team, as well as outside agencies including therapists healthcare professionals and CAMHS.
