**Job Summary** We are seeking a skilled and experienced 'hands on' Civil Supervisor involved in the construction of large scale solar farms. Due to new projects and an expanding workload, we are looking for an additional supervisor to join the business and be able to lead a team using their own experience and 'can do' approach. To be successful in this role you need to be able to show you can lead a specialist team efficiently and effectively, whilst also prepared to set the standard by getting 'hands on' when required. The work involves delivering civils projects on large scale solar farms and includes undertaking the following: * Trenching, cabling and ducting work * -Preparing foundation bases for infrastructure assets on solar farms * -Site set up and mobilising * -Road, compound, drainage and culvert construction The work involves travel across the UK and a dynamic, 'can do' approach is essential. We are successful in the solar farm construction work we do because we work swiftly and efficiently to tight timescales which our clients expect. We also have to be flexible and change to the needs of the project. If you are used to the traditional construction industry and finishing at midday on a Friday then this role probably isn't for you. However if you are committed to your quality of work, want to work with a small yet dynamic company with a fantastic team and great opportunity to develop as an individual, then it certainly is for you. **Qualifications** **\& Experience** * SSSTS qualification is advantageous but if you don't have this we can help you to achieve it. * Proven experience in a supervisory role within the civil engineering or construction industry. * Familiarity with electrical systems is advantageous but not essential. * Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. * Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. * Strong communication skills to liaise with team members, clients, and stakeholders effectively. These products are known worldwide for unrivalled quality and technical excellence utilising a wealth of experience, delivering products that perform reliably in hostile environments. **Purpose:** The PCB Test and Repair Engineer is responsible for testing, diagnosing, and repairing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. This role involves using specialized test equipment, interpreting schematics, and collaborating with design and production teams to ensure the high quality and reliability of PCB products. **Key Responsibilities: (Key Tasks)** PCB Testing: * Conduct tests on PCBs using automated test equipment (ATE), oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools. * Analyse test results and compare against design specifications to identify any faults or performance issues. * Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and scripts to ensure all PCB designs meet the required standards. PCB Repair: * Identify and troubleshoot faults in PCBs, including surface-mount devices (SMDs), through-hole components, and complex multi-layer boards. * Perform hands-on repairs such as component replacement, soldering, and rework on PCBs. * Use advanced tools like hot-air rework stations, microscopes, soldering irons, and reflow ovens to perform repairs. Documentation and Reporting: * Maintain detailed records of testing results, repairs performed, and any modifications made to PCBs. * Generate clear, concise reports summarizing the testing process, results, and any defects found. * Work with the engineering team to document failures and suggest improvements to product designs or manufacturing processes. **Accountabilities: (Deliverables)** * Perform troubleshooting and testing of PC boards, SMT, connectors, etc.. * Repair PC boards, SMT, connectors, etc. * Perform computer controlled operations. **Internal/External interaction:** * Provide feedback to design engineers regarding test results and repairs to aid in future design improvements. * Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth PCB testing and repair workflows. * Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to PCB assembly processes. **Education / Qualifications (desirable):** * Suitable qualification (e.g. Degree, HNC, HND, BTEC, NVQ, City and Guilds etc) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent experience in PCB testing and repair. * IPC-A-610 Certification (or equivalent) preferred. **Technical Competencies (essential):** * **Schematic Reading:** Ability to interpret circuit diagrams and technical drawings to understand PCB layouts and connections. * **Soldering Skills:** Expertise in soldering and desoldering components. * **Troubleshooting:** Capability to identify and repair faults in electronic circuits and components. * **Quality Control:** Inspecting PCBs for defects such as solder quality, alignment, and missing parts. * **Documentation:** Maintaining detailed records of testing, repairs, and modifications. **Technical Competencies (desirable):** * Testing and Diagnostics: Proficiency in using tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and specialized PCB testing equipment. **Key Skills (essential):** Technical Skills: * Proficiency in reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, schematics, and PCB layout files (Gerber files, BOM). * Experience with software tools for testing, debugging, and reworking PCBs. **About the Role:** * Location: Bradford * Hours: Monday to Friday 50 hours per week * Salary: Up to £14.50 ph dependent on experience **Responsibilities:** * You will be already be trained and familiar with CCTV drainage investigation equipment to enable accurate coding to the water industry standards . Consideration will be given to semi skilled CCTV drainage equipment operatives * * **Training:** You will receive 2-3 days training offsite from the CCTV Systems Group Manager and the team to go over the full position and become familiar with Lanes group working procedures and health \& safety compliance. The training will consist of a detailed breakdown of the equipment and how to maintain equipment. You will be shown how to use Excel to do site drawings that show the layouts of the drains so the team can easily identify where the defects or damages are within the drains. **Desirable Qualities:** We are looking for someone who has an interest in gaining a career in a field based role where you will be hands on in the operations.
