We will begin by the main entrance to Oxford University Parks where we’ll take a leisurely walk through the beautiful surroundings.\n\nOur next stop will be the Up in Arms, a cosy pub where we’ll pause for drinks and socialising. After enjoying some refreshments, we’ll continue our journey down to St Clements, walking back to the city centre. The event will conclude on Broad Street, where we will find a pub to stop in for drinks before our pleasant outing finally comes to a close.\n\nExpect a relaxed and sociable atmosphere, great company, and picturesque views along the way!\n\n**Important information:** ⚠️\n\n* This event is weather dependent\n* No seats are reserved at The Up In Arms\n* Arriving late will lead to members having to catch the rest of us up\n* The total distance walked for this event will be roughly 4 miles\n* Repeated no-shows or instances of gate-crashing may result in removal from future group events\n* Guests must be aged 18 or over\n\n**The plan:** 💪🏻\n\n* **2 PM -** We will meet at the main entrance to Oxford University Park, next to the Crêpe O Mania crepe van.\n* **2:10 PM -** We'll begin our walk through the park, cutting through to Marston Road. where we at roughly\n* **3 PM -** We will stop at The Up In Arms for roughly an hour.\n* **4 PM -** We will head back the the city centre, through St Clements.\n* **5 PM -** We will stop at Broad Street, where the event will come to a close.\n\nAll times are a rough guidance for this event.\n\n**Q&A** 👀\nHere are the answers to the most commonly asked questions relating to this event:\n\n**I'm new and feel anxious. Is this group not right for me?** 😨\nAttending for the first time is pushing you out of your comfort zone, so it is normal to feel anxious. We always have a mixture of new and old faces. Regulars are very welcoming and it takes only 2-4 events for most members to feel settled in. Our advice is to give it shot and reflect afterwards if the event is right for you.\n\n**How will I find you?** 🫡\nOnce the organiser arrives, they will share in the comments roughly where we are located, with a description of what they are wearing.\n\n**Will I require hiking equipment?** 🥾\nThis is going to be a 4 mile walk, along a concrete path, so there is no need to prepare yourself for an intense hike.\n\n**Where will I be able to park?** 🚗\nWhilst it's not impossible to find parking in Oxford, you will find yourself incredibly limited. Therefore, we don't have any recommendations other than stop at the most convenient Park & Ride.\n\n**Can I bring my pet dog with me?** 🐶\nYou're welcome to bring your dog on the walk! We just expect you to take full responsibility for them and any potential issues that might arise.\n\n**Can I just meet you at The Up In Arms?** 🍻\nYes, you can! We aim to arrive at roughly 3 PM.\n\n**Do I have to return with you to the city centre?** 🌇\nIf leaving the event early is more convenient for you, you are welcome to leave when you see fit.\n\n**Do I have to drink alcohol?** 🍻\nThere are no conditions to what you choose to drink, with some main organisers being non-alcoholic drinkers.\n\n**Will we be doing anything after the event?** ❓\nThis will be decided on the day. If anything does happen, it will likely be that we either find a nearby pub, cafe, or socialise in the Westgate Social.\n\n**We live in Britain, surely it's going to rain?** ☔\nIf this turns out to be the case, an alternative plan will be posted, likely being socialising in a nearby pub.\n\n**Can I bring additional people with me?** 👩🏻‍🤝‍👨🏽\nYes, you can, but please add them as additional attendees to your name when checking-in.\n\n**Group Rules** 📝\nTo make our events as safe and easy as possible, we ask all members to respect the following guidelines:\n\n**1) Be respectful of others** 🙏🏼\nYou'll encounter diverse individuals, some of whom you may not connect with immediately. The events we host are for ourselves to enjoy as much as you do.\n\n**3) Have a valid photo of yourself in your profile.** 🤳🏾\nThere have been multiple occasions where members have received inappropriate messages, all from members without photos. To help prevent this from happening, we ask all members to provide a photo of themselves.\n\n**4) Update your attending status correctly.** ✅\nNot knowing the correct number of attendees can negatively impact the event. Excessive absences and/or gatecrashing events, without valid reasons, will lead to removal from the group.\n\n**5) Do not take control of events hosted.** 🤐\nThe organisers already have a plan for the event they are hosting. To prevent any difficulties, respect what the organisers have set up for you.
