As a Senior Verification Engineer at Riverlane, you will: Proactively work with designers and architects to define verification plans based on design specifications. You will own, define and track detailed test plans for different blocks and system level. Implement scalable testbenches, including checkers, reference models and coverage groups in SystemVerilog. You will implement self-testing, directed and random tests. Maintain the design verification environment, keeping track of regression, coverage metrics and bugs. You do not need a background in quantum computing! You will learn this along the way. Requirements What we need Demonstrable commercial experience in functional verification, including ownership of verification planning and strategy. A proactive and collaborative person who actively shares feedback and can independently define the scope of work. Proven experience of testbench design with verification frameworks like UVM/OVM. Our 7,000sqm site in Wellingborough is home to the group’s medium to high volume head and block machining capability, and boasts an impressive state-of-the-art assembly and test facility producing high-performance engines for a prestigious UK car manufacturer. Purpose of Job The purpose of the role is to ensure that customer satisfaction is maintained through product conformance to agreed engineering standards and processes. The responsibility of the Manufacturing Engineer is to engineer and administer the processes and equipment required for manufacturing activities. Engineers will work within a cross-functional team responsible for the total life cycle of manufacturing projects. Supporting New Product Introduction and driving continuous improvement activities with the production cells are also part of the role. Duties • Development of engine build & test processes • Resolution of production process issues • Diagnose downtime concerns and developing solutions to address them • Understand & develop Aria & operator guided systems • Assessment of engine running data and identifying faults/issues. You will approve or reject engines readiness for shipping. • Create rework proposals based on information from the data output from test including containment actions and concessions. • Development of engine test processes. • Understand and eliminate sources of waste • Manage and prioritise workload for assigned engineers • Interface with customers as required • Develop specification documents for new equipment, tools or services • Development of less experienced engineers in both technical and non-technical skills to become outstanding Build Engineers • Oversee, in conjunction with the relevant project managers, the execution of programs for schedule and budget while achieving technical objectives. • Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional areas of engine build operations • Ensure a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks in relation to own and team function and to control the risks or report them to management as appropriate • Adhere to company policies, procedures and working practices at all times. • To evaluate existing manufacturing systems with a view to optimisation, cost reduction and general continuous improvement using lean principles. Then where appropriate within a cross-functional team, implement the relevant changes • To create, maintain and develop Process Documentation i.e. Process Sheets, FMEA, Process Flow and APQP • To liaise with the Quality and Production teams to ensure best practices are implemented. • Support supplier and internal assessments against the requirements of industry standards as required, providing information and explanation as appropriate. • Carry out internal process audits in to ensure that process instructions are being followed and are correct. Take and drive any remedial actions as necessary. • To develop repair and rework schemes for products including containment actions and concessions. • To lead, co-ordinated or participate in problem solving activities using approved tools and techniques. • To work in a IATF16949 environment, upholding the ethics of the company’s quality standards. • To travel both in the UK & abroad for supplier/customer visits as required. • Ensure a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks in relation to own and team function and to control the risks or report them to management as appropriate • To perform any other duties reasonably required to achieve departmental and/or Company objectives as deemed appropriate by the Manager / Director responsible. We are looking for a technically driven and customer-oriented Field Application Engineer with a strong background in FPGA design to support customer installations, bring-up, and design flow integration. Working with our customers across the UK and Europe, you will work directly with internal and external engineering and scientific teams to ensure the successful deployment and optimisation of our FPGA-based system - from design flow setup to debugging and performance tuning. As a Senior FAE - Digital Design, you will help integrate our multi-FPGA, low-latency, high throughput system that needs to perform complex operations, in a predictable and guaranteed way.  You will also use your knowledge and expertise to support more junior engineers, interact with software and identify novel solutions to our challenging problems. Drive the integration of our solution into our customers’ existing systems, leading on-site and remote customer support Guide customers through RTL-based design, synthesis, implementation, timing closure, and bitstream generation Provide technical support, reference designs, and custom example projects to support customer ramp-up Work on customisations of our RTL to meet the needs of early-customers/prototypes.
