Lawrence House Residential Care Home is a small private home for up to 10 Adults with learning disabilities. Regularly described by visitors as homely, we work together to support our residents in their daily routines to live well in their own home. Our residents love to be active and access the local community, and our staff enjoy planning trips and outings with them. We are looking for someone to join our small team to work approximately 24-30 hours a week (4-5 shifts a week working a variety of shifts to include alternate weekend shifts). Experience in administering medication preferred. As most of our residents have some hearing loss and/or comprehension issues, an excellent level of language is required. Staff work a rolling two week pattern of work to help provide continuity for our residents, as well as for you. Duties include providing personal care for some of our less able residents, helping them to clean their rooms, assisting some to the toilet or changing incontinence pads, supporting with meals and drinks throughout the day, encouraging the residents to do activities including shopping, catching up on the laundry, and ensuring that their home is clean and safe for them. Staff are encouraged to begin their Diploma in Health and Social Care level 2 or 3 at the end of their probation period, with full support provided by Lawrence House and our external training provider. Trainee Fire Alarm Engineer – Field-Based | Full Scotland coverage. £35,000 - £40,000 + Bonus Scheme + Overtime | Door-to-Door Pay | Van & Fuel Provided Full Training Provided | Growing Business | Strong Progression Path Are you a hands-on engineer with a technical mindset, looking to break into the fire safety and alarm systems sector? Do you currently work in fire extinguisher servicing, or have experience in a related technical trade like CCTV, white goods, or electrical installations? This is a brilliant entry point into a specialist fire protection business that’s growing across the UK – and actively expanding in North London and Middlesex. You’ll start in extinguishers and be fully trained into alarm system servicing and installation, with fantastic long-term development. What You'll Do: Service, install, and troubleshoot portable fire extinguishers at customer construction sites. Learn and develop skills in fire alarm systems – starting with their bespoke SiteProtect and SiteNet alarms. Conduct fire safety surveys and equipment fault-finding. Travel from site to site – door-to-door travel paid. Complete accurate paperwork via digital systems. Work independently and as part of a wider field-based team. Once trained, you’ll join a rotating on-call roster (1 week every 6 months). Requirements Experience in fire extinguisher servicing or a transferable background (CCTV, white goods, audio/visual, lighting, etc.). A full UK driving licence. BAFE certification (required). Good communication, time management, and a customer-first approach. Technical aptitude – switched on and eager to learn. Flexibility to travel daily and occasionally stay away. Fire alarm experience, IPAF/PASMA, CSCS/ECS or basic electrical skills? Even better!
