Delivery Vehicle Driver
Reporting directly to the Depot Team Leader, as a vehicle delivery driver you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials to designated locations. The role involves operating various types of vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic laws, maintaining the vehicle in good condition and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Driving and Navigation ·       Operate vehicle to transport goods to a specified destinations in line with schedules  ·       Follow planned routes and adhere to schedules ·       Use navigation systems to optimise travel routes and avoid traffic delays. Safety and Compliance ·       Adhere to all road safety and traffic regulations and always drive the vehicle in line with statutory and legislative regulations. ·       Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance or delivery issues in a timely fashion. ·       Ensure the safety of passengers and goods during transit. ·       Ensure the Health and Safety of you and others by carrying out all activities in a manner that promotes safety. ·       Accurate loading, unloading and delivering orders to customers OTIF. ·       Ensure products are packed safely and secured with straps etc, so as not to be damaged in transit. ·       Use driving App and ensure compliance to all required driving standards and maintain compliance with telematics and driving rules. ·       Heavy lifting, moving, protecting, wrapping, and managing all products with all due care and attention.  ·       Use equipment respectfully, safely and as trained including vehicles, phones, computers.  ·       Use phones for work matters only and when legally safe to do so. Vehicle Maintenance  ·       Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking oil, water, tyres and lights. ·       Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained and smoke free; smoking is not permitted in vehicles.  ·       Inform the Depot Team Leader of any servicing requirements and repairs. ·       Report any issues, vehicle defects or delivery problems daily in a timely fashion. Documentation and record keeping ·       Accurately checking and verifying all stock is correct on your vehicle for each all orders. ·       Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption and any incidents or accidents.  ·       Complete delivery or transport paperwork and obtain necessary signatures. ·       Receipt and despatch all orders accurately and securely in line with Leader’s SOP’s. With over 50 years’ expertise in meat craft, we are still leading the way with bespoke innovations and highly successful, international food brands JOB PURPOSE/PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The Multi-Skilled Engineer will ensure all plant and equipment runs as effectively and efficiently as possible, liaising with all relevant departments and key stakeholders such as Health and Safety and Quality Assurance Teams to ensure food safety is not compromised when doing Preventative Maintenance or dealing with a breakdown.   This position will require a certain degree of flexibility in terms of shift working patterns (4 on, 4 off shift) and the ability to complete an initial training and probationary period whilst on day or night shift. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:  Maintenance Manager KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following: Brokering a close relationship with Production Managers, Supervisors and Line Leaders; Carry out ppm tasks on a wide range of plant and manufacturing machinery to the highest standard; Electrical and Mechanical trouble shooting and repairs ; Provide technical support to stakeholders as necessary; Assist in developing and continuously improving preventative and predictive maintenance routines; Support Production and Engineering teams in achieving targets and KPI’s; Closely monitor line and machine performance; Intervene on line as soon as any deterioration in performance occurs; Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment, installations and modifications; Update the maintenance management system (CMMS); Aptitude for process awareness, diagnostic/ trouble-shooting and resolution experience gained in a hi-volume environment; To ensure that you are available to undertake any Learning, Development, Training and Continuous Improvement initiatives (flexibility may be required to attend training ‘off shift’). Note: as with all positions, due to the nature of the business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time Requirements SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE: Trades Qualification – ONC or equivalent is desirable. Experience in food production or similar environment would be beneficial. Practical experience of maintaining conveyors, packing machines (including flow wrappers, food processing equipment, robotics or similar machinery is desirable. Reporting directly to Transport Manager or Depot Team Leader, as an HGV2 Driver you will be responsible for the safe transportation of goods from one location to another. The role involves long-distance driving, adherence to road safety regulations, and timely delivery of cargo. This position requires a valid HGV2 license and knowledge of vehicle maintenance. Requirements This role will include taking accountability for:  Driving and Delivery  Operative HGVs (Class 2) to transport goods to various destinations. Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods as per the schedule Follow designated routes and schedules Always drive the vehicle in line with all statutory and legislative regulations Safety and Compliance  Adhere to all road safety and traffic regulations, including telematics and driving rules.
