The weather hasn't been too bad so far this winter, so the paths should still be pretty clear, and the winter migrant waterfowl should now be with us: we have good chance of seeing Goldeneye - and possibly even watching their courtship dance if we get lucky! - along with Shoveler, Teal, and maybe even Pintail. I'll do my best to scout the reserve beforehand and try to lead us to anything interesting that is going on. There'll be some mud, but the paths are currently pretty open, and I'll stick to the firmer routes.\n\nI know the reserve very well, and can ID some of the things we stand a chance of seeing, but I'm a long way from an expert.
