Focus on design standards, safety, and stakeholder management Within the Engineering team, the Lead Mechanical Engineer will integrate operational engineering multi-discipline teams delivering projects at various phases, from FEED to commissioning, or in assistance to Plant Operation in the UK. Role and Responsibilities Ensuring appropriate and adequate design standards and practices are deployed and deliverables and solutions generated are safe, legal and adequately underpinned Ensuring that appropriate design review activities are performed in a timely manner Ensuring subject matter experts are appropriately and adequately engaged in a timely manner and LFE captured, disseminated and utlized Managing technical studies related to mechanical handling for both handling operations and heavy mechanical transfer systems, powder mechanical processes (transport, milling, and compaction) in high active environment and gloveboxes, compaction and mechanical dismantling technologies Managing the design of mechanical processes, from strategic and conceptual phases to detailed design and construction & commissioning phase support. Typical deliverables will be issued: technical note, substantiation notes, mechanical flow diagrams and flow-sheets, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and mechanical layout drawings, hazards and malfunctions management, technical specification documentation review from supply chain Travel may be required on occasion between Client's sites About you: As a natural leader you are proactive in the development and coaching of your team enabling the successful delivery of world class projects You must have excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills A desire to develop long lasting relationships with our clients to secure future project work A proven track record of delivering commercially efficient solutions Your technical background and experience gained through your career in Mechanical Engineering and Design will inspire confidence and trust Requirements The Mechanical Engineering team encourage diversity of thought and welcome applications of candidates with transferable skills that can be applied to our projects, therefore, there are no minimum role requirements and candidates will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
