As a Major Trauma Centre (MTC) the ED has a 6 bedded resuscitation area with a nursing ratio of 1:2, a majors area with 14 cubicles and a ratio of 3:1, an ambulatory/observation unit and a dedicated minor injuries facility, including a unit for children, which is open 24 hours a day.
