These key roles will drive the successful delivery of the reservoir contract and associated works, overseeing everything from design and construction to commissioning. You will collaborate with expert advisers to ensure strict adherence to planning, licences, and regulations while managing vital stakeholder relationships. As a role model for health, safety, well-being, and environmental performance, you will also monitor contractor progress, deliver reports, and lead meetings with designers, stakeholders, and contractors. Join us in shaping the future of Portsmouth Water with a focus on high performance and values-based success! **What will you be doing?** **Key Responsibilities** * Represent Portsmouth Water and Non-Statutory Sub-Group meetings. * Regular meetings with Stakeholders, to monitor schedule of works and coordinate activity. * Production of monthly progress reports and governance approval papers. * Oversee all direct reports allocated to the project packages and their future successful progression. * Lead procurement, monitoring, and performance of the contract/subcontract packages. * Liaise with external stakeholders to secure agreement or acceptance of the project delivery plans. * Liaise with Portsmouth Water internal stakeholders to ensure that the project is ready for a seamless handover into operation on completion through asset integration. * Ensure project development is in accordance with the standards of, specifications, requirements and policies established by Portsmouth Water and Havant Thicket Project. * Projects completed to time, cost and quality, ensuring the project is delivered within the agreed ODI target dates and the regulatory allowance. * Ensure the works are carried out in accordance with the Havant Thicket Health and Safety Management Plan, and Portsmouth Water Health and Safety policies. **What do you need?** **Skills, Qualifications \& Competencies** * Strong communication and team leadership skills * Good analytical skills with the ability to review and write technical specifications, procurement strategies, business cases, decision support papers and progress reports. * Strong appreciation of risk management techniques, with experience of managing budgets for large construction projects. * Good knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment. * Working knowledge of Microsoft packages including; Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams. * Experience of using Contract Management Software * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study * More than 10 years of experience in design and construction management * Experience of leading major, complex civil infrastructure projects, particularly in the water sector. * Experience of reservoir works and/or major earthworks would be an advantage * NEC contract management experience is essential, ideally with Option C target cost experience * Full driving licence (all applicants will be required to undertake a driving assessment) * Recognised supervisory qualification or be able to commit to obtain such a qualification. We are looking for a Biomedical Scientist, who is professional, reliable, innovative and flexible to join our friendly and hardworking team. This department offers full training and future development opportunities for the right candidates to further develop their skills and ambition. The Haematology \& Blood Transfusion department is part of the Blood Sciences department of University Hospitals Dorset. The post is based at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital, but the successful candidate will be working at our laboratory in Poole on rotation. The modern departments offers a wide range of diagnostic testing facilities for Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals as well as local GP practices. The department is fully UKAS accredited and an IBMS accredited training laboratory. The successful candidate will regularly rotate through all sections of the Haematology \& Blood Transfusion department and will be required to participate in the 24/7 shift system. The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent, be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a BMS, have completed the IBMS Specialist Portfolio (Haematology) or have equivalent proven experience at Band 6 level in Haematology/Blood Transfusion. Evidence of Continual Professional Development (CPD) will be expected to be demonstrated at interview. Candidates completing their Specialist Portfolio may be considered however they would start on band 5 if unable to satisfy the Specialist BMS criteria and will be promoted to a Specialist BMS upon completion of the Specialist portfolio. About our team? The Haematology department is well equipped, including 3 Beckman Coulter DxH 900s, a Starrsed RS ESR analyser, TOSOH G11 for HPLC and 2 Sta R Max coagulation analysers. The clinical Haematology department is internationally renowned as a centre of excellence for chronic blood disorders including chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. The Coagulation department supports a comprehensive haemophilia service and provides a full range of coagulation tests The Transfusion department is keen and progressive contributing to several NHSBT pilots and steering groups, the latest being one of four full sites for the Integrated Stock Management Scheme. Transfusion also offers opportunity to contribute to the clinical trials we are participating in, and we have a very keen interest in patient blood management. We are fully automated with 2 new Bio-Rad IH500 analysers, electronic issue, Electronic Dispatch Note, Automatic Stock Replenishment and full Haemonetics blood tracking from vein to vein Our values define who we are as #TeamUHD. Owing to the complex nature of the works involved, this role will suit **Risk Manager** from a **construction or defence** background with proven experience and understanding of the processes. **MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:** Implement or support the implementation of an integrated risk management framework across a major construction programme. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: * Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, opportunities and issues within the sub-programme. * Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points to facilitate risk cost profiling, timely drawdown of risk budget or retirement of threat/opportunity. * Use risk data to inform investment planning. * Assist with the identification and recording of appropriate management responses which are measurable and specific, along with assessing the post mitigated positions. * Monitor overall risk exposure and assess against the remaining Risk budget. * Proactively manage the completion of management responses to help deliver target positions. * Work with contractors to assess contractor held risks and their views on client held risks that impact upon them. * Produce risk reports as required, in a timely manner, to support the effective communication of threat \& opportunity status. * Conduct quantitative risk assessment (cost and schedule) to inform project contingency levels. * Candidates will be expected to demonstrate experienced levels of competence with tools such as PRA, @risk, Safran or similar. * Familiarity with web-based database tools -- ARM, Predict, Tableau **REQUIREMENTS:** In order to be able to carry out the duties of the role as required, candidates will be expected to demonstrate the following capabilities: Qualitative and quantitative assessment of risk, a working understanding of an integrated risk management process (risk, cost and schedule) on a large programme, risk workshop facilitation, threat mitigation and opportunity exploitation, probabilistic modelling (@risk, PRA and P6 proficiency -- or equivalent). We are looking for candidates with proven experience in a risk delivery role on major projects/programmes. **APM/IRM risk certified candidates preferred**.
