Business Resilience Consultant

**Location:** Battersea (and remote working) **Salary:** £35,000 - £45,000 **Benefits:** Private Medical Insurance **Start Date:** ASAP **Reports to:** Resilience Director **Hours of work:** Full time **Language:**English (Required) ### **The Role** As a consultant within our Business Resilience team, you will participate in and supervise client engagement teams and other related activities. Engagements focus on the advisory services in development, implementation or assessment of the client's resilience, business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities, strategies and solutions; including risk assessments, business impact analyses, strategy selection, and documentation of respective procedures. This also includes plan and conduct exercises to test the client's adequacy of existing plans and strategies. You should be comfortable planning and organising scenario exercises involving a range of root causes, from reputational to cyber. The focus of this role is the interaction and relationship between Business Continuity (BC) and IT Disaster Recovery (DR). ### **The Responsibilities** * Work with nominated client business areas to develop and maintain necessary programmes that address business continuity and disaster recovery. * Work with client resilience teams to develop effective working relationships and documented plans. * Liaise with key client teams to identify gaps, set recovery time objectives, recovery point objectives and determine technology resilience needs. * Develop technology strategies, solutions and plans to meet critical functions and needs. * Design and outline goals, objectives and scope for business plans and assist in the development of BC and IT DR planning and goals. * Support client management in aligning business continuity planning, initiatives and goals with IT DR goals and Infrastructure capabilities. * Identify and make recommendations for IT DR solutions to meet BC-derived requirements. * Develop and execute maintenance and testing programmes for BC and DR plans. * Design and implement tests and exercises of client BC and DR plans and response processes. * Provide regular feedback and reporting to clients' top management on the critical components and readiness of the business plans and supporting processes and infrastructure ### **The Candidate** **The ideal candidate will have:** * Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) * 3 years + managing BC and DR within a multi-site organization * Sound knowledge of BC and DR systems and processes * Experience of planning and facilitating exercises with senior leadership teams * Experience of planning and running BC exercises with operational teams * Experience of DR planning and testing with technology teams * Experience in a multi-disciplinary environment in public or private sectors, managing high profile suppliers and stakeholders * Experience of managing multiple work streams simultaneously * Experience of managing multiple work streams simultaneously * Effective project management, planning and organisational skills * Stakeholder management skills at a senior level * Effective communication and negotiation skills to build effective working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders **Personal qualities:** * Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and priorities * Ability to learn quickly and share knowledge * Ability to prioritise workload to ensure that team targets are met ### **The Company** Databarracks is an IT Resilience managed service provider based in South West London.
