**3 Months Contract with a local authority** **Job Purpose** * To provide effective leadership and be accountable for the safe and efficient management of the Respite children's home. **Key Duties/Accountabilities** * Ensure compliance with the Statement of Purposes (SoP) at all times and provide appropriate support to children and young people to achieve positive outcomes. * Meet the fit persons requirements of a Registered Manager with the approval of CIW. * Fulfill all duties and responsibilities of a Registered Manager as required by the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) 2016. * Accept responsibility and accountability for all day-to-day activities of the home and create an open, positive, and inclusive atmosphere. **Essential Experience Required** * Significant experience of working in a residential Child Care setting at a senior or management level. * Experience of performance management frameworks. * Experience of working in partnership with other agencies. * Experience of financial management. * Experience of managing Health \& Safety. **Essential Qualification Required** * Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health \& Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Registered Management) Wales \& NI is essential. **Additional Information to Note** * Working hours: 37 hours per week * Some out of hours working may be required. The post holder is also required to provide on-call cover outside of office hours within an on-call rota. * Full valid driving licence and sole use of vehicle is a requirement. ### **Requirements** **Requirements** * Significant experience in residential Child Care setting * Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health \& Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Registered Management) Wales \& NI * Experience in performance management, partnership working, financial management, and Health \& Safety management. You will need to be suitably qualified holding a Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health \&Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Registered Management) Wales \& NI and registered with Social Care Wales.
