Join a community committed to driving forward the future of energy. **Job Description** **Work Scope** * Oversight of construction delivery work packs 6 months prior to construction. * Liaise with Client \& Principal Designer on matters relating to construction safety * Manage Principal Contractor CDM compliance programme * Support Principal Contractor delivery functions, including: (but not restricted to) * Temporary Works * Fire \& Emergency Preparedness * Construction Delivery * Marine Works * Site Operations. * Employment Affairs Unit * Ensure timely delivery of Safety Standards audit schedule. * Review and acceptance of a range of contractor safety related documents, including RAMS, procedures and safety standards. * Technical review of Principal Contractor safety standards and procedures. * Production \& delivery of CDM related training material. * Be available as CDM subject matter expert in support of the Principal Contractor function. * Advice the Principal Contractor delivery functions on the site risk profile. * Represent the Principal Contractor at NEC risk reduction events * Oversight of Tier 1 contractor mobilisation to site. **Qualifications** **Qualifications:** * Bachelors' or Masters' degree in Civil / Structural Engineering * Experience in HND Building, civil engineering works * Chartered membership with CIOB; ICE; IMECHE * Technical Member of IOSH * Member: Association for Project Safety **Experience:** * Design and engineering hazard reviews and assessment of risk. * Applying the Principles of Prevention during the pre-construction and construction phase. * Working knowledge of heavy civils * Experience with bulk mechanical erection * Ability to work in a multi-national environment. * Ability to manage numerous work scopes simultaneously * Working knowledge of applying CDM to NEC \& FIDIC contracts **Additional Information** **Why Apply?** Join Assystem and become a key player in delivering critical nuclear projects that shape the future of energy. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Energy Power station. Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively. Amentum are seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to work on the HPC project, to carry out roles under the profile of Electrical Commissioning Engineer. Engineers will normally be aligned to either HV, LV, DC or generator systems but will be expected to work across all electrical disciplines at times during the contract period. This includes system voltages at 400kV, 10kV, 400VAC, 690VAC 220VDC and control voltages. The engineer must be able to work with plans and meet tight deadlines. Key responsibilities will be: * Contribute to team meetings * Liaise with the designer * Liaise with the Project managers for electrical deliverables * Accountable to a nominated Commissioning Manager/Engineer in the NNB HPC Project team * Develop commissioning documentation relating to commissioning testing and system validation activities * Contribute to design reviews to ensure layout of plant items and systems are in a manner that allows ease of commissioning * Contribute to detailed planning of commissioning and take ownership of a programme of commissioning tests * Take part in the execution of site commissioning activities including supervision of contractor commissioning personnel on behalf of HPC to achieve successful and safe commissioning of HPC systems **Qualifications** * Degree qualified (or equivalent qualification such as HNC + experience) in Electrical Engineering * BS7671 18th Edition regulations * Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to convey complex information to others * Ability to plan works and support scheduling including understanding outputs of planning tools such as Microsoft project or Primavera P6 **Our Culture** Our values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
